Trafotek is a leading developer and manufacturer of power transformers, reactors and inductive specialty products to enhance power quality. Our products are total solutions, designed case-by-case for each application and customer.
The Trafotek way of developing products is based on a close and interactive cooperation with the customer resulting in optimized product designs in the shortest possible development time. In the design work we utilize advanced, proprietary planning software and 3D modeling. Our designs are based on flexible standardized structures, resulting in short turn-around times and optimal electrical performance and product cost, in which the size and weight of the products is minimized. We use a number of cooling techniques, including sophisticated and efficient liquid cooling systems.
The skilled Trafotek personnel and state-of-the-art equipment and working methods ensure efficient production and high-quality products. Our continuous improvement program, our own R&D laboratory and investments in research and development activities continuously improve our production efficiency. Our three modern factories and global sourcing ensure sufficient and cost-competitive manufacturing capacity and timely deliveries. Our current factories are located in Finland, China and Estonia.
All our products are manufactured with high quality materials. The transformers and reactors are designed and manufactured to the thermal class F or H, and, if required, for the enclosure classes IP 00 – IP 55. The products can also be equipped with devices for electrical and thermal protection or with other accessories such as switches, wheels, etc. We use either copper wire or aluminum or copper foil as the conduction material in our transformers and reactors. Regardless of the size, all our products pass through a vacuum-impregnation process, which improves their mechanical and electrical properties. All transformers and reactors are also tested individually before delivery.
Trafotek has excellent references from the power electronics and ship building industries worldwide, with some 25,000 different transformer and reactor product designs created to date.
