AMI-SIL fabrics are military grade silica fabrics used to build and repair ships. SAS2400-1 is such a fabric, but with a heavy red silicone coating on one side for extra strength and moisture resistance. It resists heat, rain and wind, and stays in shape while on the job!
- EASY TO USE: SAS2400-1-RED is fast-becoming AMI’s best-selling AMI-SIL Cloth because of its versatility in many applications. It’s distinctive herringbone weave gives it strength and durability. And the thick silicone coating stands up to the harshest of elements.
- HIGH QUALITY: Made with care in Maine, USA, SAS2400-1 is made with the finest yarns, a special weave and a very thick silicone coating to protect the silica fabric from abrasion and debris during hot work – especially outdoors. The average weight of this blanket is 4 pounds with the coating, giving the product a longer life than most silica fabrics.
- PERFORMANCE-TESTED BY FM APPROVALS: SAS2400-1 has been tested and approved as a BLANKET to ANSI/FM 4950 for Hot Work Protection. NFPA 51B also points to this standard for fire safety on the job.
