Mayco Fundamentals Underglaze - Set of 12, 2 oz

12 2oz jar set. Colors include China white, bright yellow, orange, fire engine red, dragon red, regal purple, bright blue, kings blue, apple green, leaf green, chocolate and jet black. Mayco Fundamentals Underglazes are highly versatile - use for complete coverage or to create design elements. They can be applied to wet clay, green ware or bisque. If your piece has texture, dab excess color out of the texture, and avoid allowing glaze to pool inside textures. Underglazes are formulated to mature at Cone 06/05; however, most maintain their color at higher temperatures. For best results, test on your clay body and in your kiln prior to use on finished pieces.

(59 mL) jar each of UG-051 China White, UG-046 Bright Yellow, UG-204 Orange, UG-206 Fire Engine Red, UG-208 Dragon Red, UG-087 Regal Purple, UG-097 Bright Blue, UG-001 Kings Blue, UG-068 Apple Green, UG-021 Leaf Green, UG-031 Chocolate, and UG-050 Jet Black.
• Intermixable, blendable, and layerable low/mid-high fire Cone 06-10 Mayco Fundamentals "UG" Underglazes are highly versatile liquid ceramic pottery underglazes that can be applied to wet clay, unfired clay, or bisque. Use for both complete, all-over coverage or to create delicate, detailed design elements.
• Shake well before use. Apply 2-3 coats to wet/unfired clay or Cone 04 bisque; lightly dampen ware with a moistened sponge before painting for better adhesion. Avoid allowing underglaze to pool inside textures; if your piece has texture, dab away excess color.
• If applying to wet/unfired clay, allow underglaze to dry before firing to Cone 04; add a clear glaze and re-fire to Cone 06-05 (for earthenware) or Cone 5-10 (for stoneware), if desired. On Cone 04 bisque, apply underglaze, add clear glaze if desired, then fire to Cone 06-05 (for earthenware) or Cone 5-10 (for stoneware).
• Fundamentals fire to a matte finish; to intensify color, apply a clear glaze. Mix colors to create something new, or use brushstrokes to blend and shade; Fundamentals can also be layered without concern of intermixing. Add thin lines and details with confidence; Fundamentals will not move! With painterly properties, Fundamentals can be diluted with water to create a thinned, watercolor-like finish, or layered and carved for a sgraffito ("to scratch") effect.
• Formulated to mature at Cone 06/05, most Fundamentals maintain their color at higher temperatures; Cone 6 performance is noted on product labels. Test Fundamentals on your clay body and in your kiln prior to use on finished pieces.
• Opaque Fundamentals are not true to color out of the jar; firing is required to mature hue.
